CSS Releases Mid-Term Draft Rankings

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Central Scouting Service announced its midterm rankings for the upcoming 2013 NHL Draft in New Jersey this morning and three Pats cracked the North American Skaters list.

First up is Morgan Klimchuk at number 24. The Pats leading scorer is in Halifax this week to compete in the Home Hardware Top Prospects game on Wednesday (Sportsnet, 6 p.m. CST). Through 46 games this season, the Pats' 6th overall bantam pick in 2010 features 23 goals and 30 assists for 53 points on the campaign which has him tied for 13th in WHL scoring.

A pair of Pats defencemen follow Klimchuk on the rankings. Rookie defender and Regina native, Colby Williams checks in at the 203rd spot. The fourth round bantam pick of the Blue and White in 2010 leads Pats rookies with 14 points, all assists, in 38 games this season.

Just three spots back of Williams sits Kyle Burroughs at 206. The third round pick of the Blue and White in 2010 leads Pats defencemen in goal scoring and his 14 points has him tied with Williams for third on the Pats blue-line for points.

The Pats get back in action Friday night when they host the Kootenay Ice in a key Eastern Conference matchup. Friday is Knight Archer Insurance Bobblehead night and fans in attendance will have the opportunity to take home a Clark Gillies bobblehead with a minimum donation to the former Pats Captain, Kyle Deck Charity/Regina Kidney Foundation.

Before the Pats face off with the Swift Current Broncos in their January 19th contest, there will be a pre-game ceremony to announce and honour the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Class of 2013.
