
Four Broncos Appear in Mid Term Rankings

On Wednesday, the NHL's Central Scouting Service released its mid-term rankings for this June's Entry Draft. Amongst the 210 North American skaters ranked were four Swift Current Broncos.
Forward Geordie Wudrick is ranked 69th among North American skaters, while fellow forwards Matt Tassone and Jan Dalecky are 108th and 109th respectively. Meanwhile, defensemen Eric Doyle is ranked 196th amongst North American skaters.
The rankings, which are done separately between North American and European skaters, are released twice a year, once in January and once again in April. The Western Hockey League was well represented with 47 skaters and 9 goalies appearing on the North American list.
Wudrick, a 17-year-old forward from Swift Current, SK, was the Broncos' first bantam pick in 2005 (2nd overall). In his second season with the Broncos, he has appeared in 39 games, scoring 9 goals and assisting on 11 others for 20 points.
Tassone, an 18-year-old from St. Albert, AB, is also in his second season with the team. He was the Broncos' eighth round bantam pick in 2004 (152th overall). This season he has 9 goal and 11 assists for 20 points in 40 games played with 77 penalty minutes.
Dalecky, a 17-year-old rookie forward from Kladno, Czech Republic, was the Broncos' import pick this past summer. This season he has appeared in 43 games with 5 goals and 9 assists.
Doyle, an 18-year-old from Calgary, AB, is in his second season with the team. He was a first round pick by the Everett Silvertips in the 2004 bantam draft (15th overall). He has 9 goals and 28 assists so far this season, appearing in 42 games.
The 2008 NHL Entry Draft will be held June 20th at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.
