NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons in the Lowcountry and proud affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that forward Joe Devin has been returned to the club after a stint with the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Devin, 28, will provide an offensive boost to South Carolina. During his time with Lake Erie, Devin skated in 16 games, scoring seven points (five goals, two assists) with a +3 rating. Devin is one of several returning players from last season who helped lead the team to the 2015 Kelly Cup Finals. Devin scored 13 goals in the postseason, including the triple-overtime winning goal in Game 7 versus Toledo to send the Stingrays to the Finals.

Devin and the Stingrays are on the road this weekend in Norfolk for a pair of games. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Fans are encouraged to head to the official Watch Party each night at King Street Grille-Northwoods.
