Forward Eric Louis-Seize remains at Mooseheads' Training Camp

Halifax Mooseheads' forward Eric Louis-Seize, who will not turn 17 until Oct. 12, 2006, advised the Halifax Mooseheads prior to last night's game at Cape Breton, he has decided to pursue major junior hockey and will remain at the Mooseheads' Training Camp to attempt to crack the Halifax lineup.

The 6'00", 182 lb. winger, drafted in round seven (116) of the recent 2006 QMJHL Entry Draft by the Mooseheads, played in last night's game against the Screaming Eagles.

In another roster move, Halifax Mooseheads have acquired 19-year-old Rodi Short, Mooseheads' General Manager Marcel Patenaude announced today. Halifax claimed the 6'01", 200 lb. defenceman on waivers from the St. John's Fog Devils.

Short, a native of Gould's, NL, was selected by the Fog Devils from the P.E.I. Rocket in last year's expansion draft. He played in 33 games with St. John's last season, recording 2 goals and 3 assists, while playing at a minus 4 rating with the expansion team. He also appeared in four of the Fog Devils' five playoff games, picking up one assist.

In addition, Short played in 29 games with Truro of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League, where he scored 4 goals and added 17 assists, with 68 penalty minutes.
