Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
FORT WORTH, Texas (December 18) - The Fort Worth Brahmas traded rookie defenseman Ryan Barlock - rid6426100&seasonid9603 to the Tulsa Oilers Tuesday afternoon in exchange for future considerations.
"Ryan is a good, young defenseman with a strong work ethic and the willingness to learn," said Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong. "I have no doubt that he can help Tulsa at the blue line."
Barlock missed the last month and a half with a fractured bone in his right wrist, forcing him to the injured reserve retroactive to October 28. The Niles, Illinois native played the last four years at Division-III Curry College, where he led the Colonels with 38 points as a senior in 2011-2012.
At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Barlock will add defensive depth to a Tulsa Oilers squad that finds itself at the bottom of the Central Hockey League standings at 8-16-2. The Oilers have allowed 108 goals this season, 20 more than any other team in the CHL.
The Brahmas are back in action tomorrow, December 19, at 7:00pm when they host the Wichita Thunder at the NYTEX Sports Centre. The two teams will meet again Friday in Wichita.
The Brahmas return to the Fort Worth Convention Center Saturday, December 22 to face off against the Missouri Mavericks. The game is set for 7:30pm, but Big Mike's Box of Rock, the Fort Worth Weekly's "Best Cover Band" of 2012, will be performing live in the lobby at 6:30pm.
The Brahmas have reduced individual ticket prices, as well as lowering the price of full-season, half-season and 11-game ticket packages for the 2012-2013 season. For more ticket information, please contact a Brahmas sales representative at 817-336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
