Allen's Aaron Dell Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (December 18, 2012) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Allen Americans goaltender Aaron Dell has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending December 16, 2012.

Dell won a pair of games in Denver against the Cutthroats helping end the Fish's five-game win streak. On Friday night, the rookie goalie stopped 30 shots in a 2-1 win and then on Saturday night he turned away 26 of 28 shots allowing a pair of Denver power play goals in another one-goal win, 3-2. Overall, the Airdire, Alberta native stopped close to 95% of the shot he faced.

On the season, the former University of North Dakota star is 9-3 with a 1.94 goals against average (second in the CHL) and a .933 save percentage (tied for first in the CHL). During his nine wins, Dell has not allowed more than two goals in any one game and after a 5-1 month of November was named the Warrior CHL Goaltender of the Month.
