
Fort Wayne's Faille Named CCM ECHL Rookie of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Fort Wayne Komets' forward Eric Faille is the CCM ECHL Rookie of the Month for March.
The 25-year-old scored eight goals, added eight assists and was a +14 during the month despite playing in just seven games for the Komets after beginning the month on loan to Texas of the American Hockey League.
A native of Lachine, Quebec, Faille tallied at least one point in each of the seven games in which he appeared, including a five-assist performance in a 6-4 win against Missouri on March 20. He picked up four points (2g-2a) in a 7-3 victory at Elmira on March 25 and on two other occasions picked up a pair of points.
Faille is riding a 12-game point streak over which he has recorded 24 points, and depsite playing in just 40 games with the Komets, ranks eighth among ECHL rookies with 50 points (24g-26a). He has added six points (2g-4a) in 21 AHL games with Texas.
Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons at the University of Moncton where he had 114 points (46g-68a) in 95 career games. He also played four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Acadie-Bathurst where he had 187 points (73g-114a) in 246 games.
