Indiana Mad Ants News Release
(FORT WAYNE, IN) July 24, 2007 - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants will open their inaugural season in the NBA Development League on Friday, November 23 at 7:30 p.m. when they host the Tulsa 66ers at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
The Mad Ants - 66ers contest is the first of 50 regular season games for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, 25 of which will take place at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The Mad Ants will also take part in the 2008 D-League Showcase that will take place from Jan. 14-17 at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho.
"We're very excited with the release of our 2007-2008 schedule. To be able to open our season in front of our fans in Fort Wayne is very special. The return of pro basketball to Fort Wayne and the surrounding area with our affiliation to the Detroit Pistons and the Indianapolis Pacers, comes a level of basketball not seen before in the War Memorial Coliseum," stated Head Coach Kent Davison.
Also highlighting the 2007-08 D-League Schedule is the All-Star Game, which will be played as part of NBA Jam Session presented by adidas at 2008 NBA All-Star in New Orleans.

Mad Ants President, Jeff Potter, said, "We could not be happier with our schedule and we are certain that our fans will be equally excited. What we're offering our fans is the highest level of professional sport this city has ever had the opportunity to see, at the absolute best prices."
With the expansion to 14 teams, the D-League is realigning into three divisions for the 2007-08 season. The Southwest and West divisions will feature five teams while the Central division will have four. The Fort Wayne Mad Ants will play in the Central division.
"The realignment and scheduling structure encourages divisional rivalries," D-League President Dan Reed said. "Plus, with this scheduling system, we had the ability to cut down on travel which we believe, in turn, will provide for a better product on the floor."
The Divisions for the 2007-08 season will break down as follows:
Central Southwest West
Dakota Albuquerque Anaheim
Fort Wayne Austin Bakersfield
Iowa Colorado Idaho
Sioux Falls Rio Grande Valley Los Angeles Tulsa Utah
Now entering its seventh season, the NBA Development League will bring to Fort Wayne future NBA stars and some of the best young talent playing the game today. The D-League currently includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Anaheim Arsenal (Calif.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Bakersfield Jam (Calif.), Colorado 14ers (Broomfield), Dakota Wizards (Bismarck, N.D.), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Idaho Stampede (Boise), Los Angeles D-Fenders (Calif.), Sioux Falls Skyforce (S.D.) and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.).
