
Former Warthogs' outfielder Jeremy Reed makes Major League debut

Winston-Salem, NC â Former Warthogs' outfielder, Jeremy Reed, made his Major League debut for the Seattle Mariners last night against the Cleveland Indians. Reed was called up from AAA Tacoma and pinch-hit in the 9th inning, grounding out to shortstop. In 2003, Reed hit .333 in 65 games in Winston-Salem. Earlier this season Reed was traded from Chicago along with former Warthogs' shortstop, Mike Morse, to Seattle as part of the Freddy Garcia deal.
Winston-Salem will play at Kinston Thursday night at 7pm in game 2 of the best of three Southern Division championship series. LHP Wes Whisler will toss for the Warthogs. RHP Adam Miller will pitch for Kinston. All the play by play will be heard on the internet only at www.warthogs.com.
