In the 2024 CFL Global Draft, a former Indoor Football League linebacker heard their name called with the No. 1 overall pick. Eteva Mauga-Clements, a linebacker from the University of Nebraska, had a brief stint with the Vegas Knight Hawks before being selected with the first pick in the CFL Global Draft.
After a short stay with the Knight Hawks, Mauga-Clements showcased his abilities at the CFL Combine in Winnipeg. Paired with his strong play at the University of Nebraska, Mauga-Clements joins the Edmonton Elks after being selected No. 1 overall.
