Syracuse Crunch News Release
Syracuse, NY (March 22, 2012)- The Syracuse Crunch announced today that former Syracuse University football player Rob Long will participate in a ceremonial puck drop at this Saturday's home game vs. Rochester at 7:30 p.m.
Originally from Downingtown, PA, Rob Long was the punter for the SU football team for four years (2007-10). Long earned three letters in his football career at Syracuse, and his 42.83 average ranked second among active kickers in the Football Bowl Division. He plans to play for the NFL in the future.
Long will also be signing autographs during the first intermission. Crunch fans can head outside of Memorial Hall to get their autographs and meet Long.
