Amerks to Honor One Fan as "7th Man - Fan of the Year"

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that they will select one Amerks fan as the 2011-12 "7th Man - Fan of the Year." The winner will be recognized during the Amerks' final home game of the regular season on Friday, April 13 when they host the Syracuse Crunch at The Blue Cross Arena at 7:35 p.m.

All Amerks fans are eligible for the award and can submit their application at www.amerks.com by explaining in 250 words or less why they deserve to be selected as the 7th Man - Fan of the Year. Fans can also include a photo of themselves with their written submission to support their claim as the top Amerks fan. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 6 and the winner will be determined after a review of all submissions by the Amerks Front Office.

The Amerks 7th Man - Fan of the Year will receive tickets in a suite for the April 13 game and will be recognized during the game. The winner will also receive an Amerks jersey, autographed team stick, access to Head Coach Ron Rolston's postgame press conference and a locker room tour following the game.
