
Former Stingray Arcibal Helps Team USA Claim Gold

North Charleston, S.C. - Former South Carolina Stingrays forward Nielsson Arcibal helped the United States become the first team to win the IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship for a sixth time, defeating Sweden 6-3 in the final Saturday at Dresden Arena in Dresden, Germany.
Arcibal, 25, recorded two goals, including the game-opening marker in the final, and five assists for seven points in six contests with Team USA. The Vista, California, native appeared in eight regular-season games and three playoff contests with the Stingrays during the 2011-12 season netting one goal.
In the tournament, Team USA outscored their opponents 46-15 including an impressive 13-3 victory over Slovenia and an 11-4 triumph over Slovakia in the semifinals. Former Greenville Road Warriors and Idaho Steelheads goaltender Jerry Kuhn led the tournament with a 2.06 goals-against average and .882 save percentage.
