Sioux Falls Stampede News Release

Former Stampede defenseman Nate Prosser has been recalled by the Minnesota Wild. He is headed to Los Angeles where he will join the Wild for their game against the Kings tomorrow (Thursday night). This is the first time this season Prosser has been called up by the Wild. He played three games last year for Minnesota after signing a contract out of college.

Prosser has posted 19 points (6-13=19) and 27 penalty minutes (PIM) in 58 games this season with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League. The Elk River, Minnesota native just appeared on Inside Stampede Hockey on Monday. He played from 2003-06 with the Stampede posting 61 points (7g, 54a) in 150 career games. He is a member of the Stampede's All-Decade Team.

The Wild are currently 32-22-6 and tied for fifth place in the ultra competitive Western Conference. Just two points separate 5th place from 8th place. Four teams are currently tied for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Fans can catch Thursday's game live on Fox Sports North.
