
Former Raiders Lead Canada to first win at Universiade

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - Former Prince Albert Raider Captain Mike Hellyer scored on a second period penalty shot and Aaron Sorochan made 18 saves to lead Canada to a 13-0 win over China in Canada's first game at the 24th Winter Universiade in Harbin, China.
Hellyer scored mid way through the second period to make the score 7-0 at the time. Hellyer was +4 during the game. Sorochan is backed up by another Raider Alumni, Brant Hilton.
Team Canada is made up of players from the Canada West Conference for this Universiade. Hellyer is a student at the University of Manitoba, while Sorochan attends the University of Alberta and Hilton attends the University of Regina.
Canada plays Great Britain tomorrow. The Universiade men's hockey competition concludes February 28th in China.
