Former Major Leaguer on Pelicans Coaches Show

The Pelicans announce today the schedule for their weekly Pelicans Coaches Show LIVE from New York Nick's off Palafox St. in downtown Pensacola. Greg Litton, former Major Leaguer and Pensacola resident, joins the Pelicans Coach's Show on Saturday, June 3 from 12-1 pm on AM 1620.

A native of New Orleans, LA, Litton attended Pensacola Junior College and was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the first round, 10th overall, of the 1984 June Draft. Litton played from 1989-1994 with the Giants, Seattle Mariners, and Boston Red Sox. The highlight of his career came when Litton hit a homerun in the 1989 Bay Area World Series between the Giants and Oakland Athletics.

Hosted by Pelicans radio announcers Jay Burnham, Paul Chestnutt and Erik Lewitke, the show will feature Pelicans Manager Kash Beauchamp LIVE via telephone from El Paso to talk about the Pelicans and their current road trip.

The Pensacola Pelicans are in the midst of a six-game road trip through Texas making their way toward the .500 mark. The Pelicans return home for six games, three against the Fort Worth Cats and three more versus the Shreveport Sports.

After the first month of the season, the Pelicans have a team-earned run average of 3.44, ranked second in the American Association. Pelican teammates Trino Aguilar and Tim Dorn are ranked second and third respectively in the league in batting average.

The Pelicans will return to Pensacola for a six-game home stand against the Fort Worth Cats and Shreveport Sports June 6 through June 11.
