Former Horned Frog Joins Renegades

LUBBOCK, TX: May 18, 2007 - The inaugural Lubbock Renegades of the arenafootball2 have completed their roster adjustments in preparation to their contest Saturday night against Oklahoma City by adding assigned defensive back Jerome Braziel and placing linemen Brad Hill on the injured reserve list.

Braziel (bruh-zeel) is a 5'10 174-pound defensive back from Fort Worth, Texas. He makes his af2 debut after spending a pair of seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Braziel attended Texas Christian University (TCU) and was with the Horned Frogs from 2000 - 2004. He lettered during the 2003 and 2004 seasons and combined for 30 tackles and a pair of forced fumbles. The 26 year-old speedster also spent time on the TCU track team. He recorded the fourth fastest 100 time in 1999 while in high school at Fort Worth Dunbar with a time of 10.27. Braziel qualified for the Pan Am Games and was part of the 1998 relay team that set a USA Track and Field High School record with a 36.69 time in the 4x100-relay.

Hill joins James McCoy on the team's injured reserve list. He had 1.5 tackles last week against Tulsa and has 9.5 tackles (4 solo) on the season. His two forced fumbles leads the Renegades.
