Blitz to Host Second BLITZ WOW! (Women of Wisdom) Seminar

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Blitz are proud to announce the second of the BLITZ WOW! (Women of Wisdom) seminars prior to its home game on Saturday, May 19th, according to Andrew Watkins, President/General Manager.
The BLITZ WOW! (Women of Wisdom) program is a series of seminars, sponsored by the University of Phoenix, aimed at increasing awareness of the many educational programs, resources and career enhancement opportunities available to local women, while providing networking opportunities with some of the most successful women in the Bakersfield and Kern County areas.
Mary Madland, one of the most prominent businesswomen in Kern County, will be the featured speaker at this week's event. She is the President and owner of Madland Toyota-Lift, Inc. which specializes in selling Toyota Industrial Equipment such as fork lifts and hand pallet trucks.
The free event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and continue to 6:00 p.m. with light refreshments served. Those in attendance will also receive a complimentary admission to the Bakersfield Blitz game against the Tri-Cities Fever, immediately following the seminar. The tickets to this event may be obtained at the University of Phoenix or the Blitz Corporate Offices.
The third BLITZ WOW! (Women of Wisdom) seminar is scheduled for Saturday, June 9th prior to the Blitz game against the defending ArenaCup Champions, the Spokane Shock. LaMeka Burton from the Bakersfield Women's Business Conference is the scheduled speaker. For more information about the BLITZ WOW!
