ROCHESTER, MINN - Today former Honkers outfielder Zach Cole was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 10th round (313th overall) in the MLB Draft.
The Ball State junior played for the Honkers in 2021 and hit three home runs for Rochester. He posted a .327 on-base-percentage and stole 10 bases in 11 attempts.
Cole is coming off a fantastic season for the Ball State Cardinals. He led the team in batting average at .361 with 13 HR and 47 RBI. He posted a ridiculous .727 slugging percentage with an OPS of 1.176.
The Rochester Honkers want to congratulate Zach and his family on this tremendous achievement!
