Former Forward Colton Hargrove Signs with Boston Bruins

FARGO, ND - Former Fargo Force forward Colton Hargrove signed a NHL entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins on Sunday afternoon. The Bruins drafted him in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round, 205th overall.
Hargrove is the fifth former Force player to sign a NHL contract behind Nate Schmidt, Luke Witkowski, Mike Lee and Hunter Warner.
Hargrove just finished his junior year at Western Michigan University, where he tallied 28 total points (14g, 14a) this season in 34 games played. He was the team's second leading scorer. Throughout his three years playing collegiate hockey, Hargrove played in 105 games and scored 34 total goals and had 28 assists. He decided to forgo his senior season of college hockey in order to turn pro.
Prior to playing for Western Michigan, Hargrove played for the Fargo Force in both the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. He played in 110 total games and tallied 65 total points (29g, 36 assists) as well as appearing in 11 playoff games were he had 3 total assists. In the 2011-12 season, Hargrove was the team's third leading scorer with 38 points (16g, 22a). He also led the Force in penalty minutes in 2011-12 with 140 minutes total.
