Former Boston Breakers star Angela Hucles will be inducted into the Breakers Pillars of Excellence during a halftime ceremony at Saturday's game when the Breakers host the Chicago Red Stars.

Hucles, a Breakers icon, played all four seasons with both incarnations of the Breakers, first with the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) from 2001-03, and then during the inaugural season of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) in 2009.

Hucles was a regular fixture on the U.S. Women's National Team during the decade of the 2000s. She won gold medals at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. Hucles became the 24th American woman to earn 100 international caps and finished her career with 109 caps and 14 international goals, including four during the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Hucles retired from professional and international soccer in October 2009.

The first 500 fans into the stadium will receive a commemorative Angela Hucles trading card presented by Stonyfield. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will also receive a cow bell presented by Stonyfield.

Moore Helps Breakers Pick Up 1 Point on the Road

Defender Kasey Moore notched her first career goal last Sunday against Saint Louis Athletica as the Breakers picked up a key point on the road amidst wet and windy conditions when they drew 1-1. The Breakers remain undefeated with a record of 1-0-2 and sit in a three-way tie for second place in league standings.

The Breakers opened the scoring first, when Kristine Lilly stepped up to take a corner in the 21st minute, sending a driven ball to the top of the box. Moore ran onto the ball sending a long shot into the back of the net.

Saint Louis evened the score just six minutes later when Aya Miyama was fouled and rewarded a free kick. Tina Ellertson headed the ball to Carolyn Blank who then headed it past goalkeeper Ashley Phillips, making it 1-1.

The Breakers look to gain three points at home this weekend when they take on the winless Chicago Red Stars at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
