
Former Boise Hawk Makes MLB Debut

Former Boise Hawks right-hander Alberto Cabrera made his debut today for the Chicago Cubs in an 8-4 loss to Pittsburgh, becoming the 97th former alum to pitch in the Major Leagues.
Cabrera, who posted a 3-3 record with a 5.68 ERA during the 2007 season in Boise, tossed a scoreless eighth inning, striking out two.
He joins Ryan Flaherty (Baltimore), Marwin Gonzalez (Houston), Darin Downs (Detroit), Jeff Beliveau (Chicago Cubs), Blake Lalli (Chicago Cubs), and Blake Parker (Chicago Cubs) in making their Major League debut in 2012.
