Forest City's offensive onslaught was backed by Bryce Danielson's best outing of the year. The lefty went a season-high seven innings and allowed just two unearned runs on six hits and five walks. Adam Westmoreland struck out the side in the 8th and Drake Thomason pitched a perfect 9th to end the game.

Forest City tacked on three runs each in the 4th and 7th innings. The final exclamation point came in the 7th when Owls closer Jake Padgett drove in two runs with a double off the wall in the gap in left-centerfield. Hunter Privette, who started the inning off with a single, and Mark Lindsay both scored on the play. Kurt Seiders followed with an RBI double as well to make it 11-2 Forest City.
