CLEVELAND, OHIO- Cleveland Force forward Zoran Karic was involved in a car accident and was injured Sunday afternoon, after returning from Kansas City, Missouri, where the team defeated the Kansas City Comets on Saturday night.

Karic, 42, was driving home from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport when he was involved in a head on collision on Wallings Road in Broadview Heights. Karic was taken to Marymount Hospital following the accident. He was assessed by emergency room doctors, and later released from the emergency unit. Zoran is resting comfortably at his home in Broadview Heights with a bruised knee and ribs. He will be reevaluated later this week by University Hospital's doctors. It is not yet known if Karic will be cleared to play this weekend when the Force host the Milwaukee Wave Friday, January 23rd, or on the road Saturday in Milwaukee.

The accident comes on the heels of Zoran's impressive performance in the Force's 9-7 road victory over the Comets on Saturday night. Karic tallied an individual and team season-high seven points, with a goal and season-best, and Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) season-high six assists. In the second half of the match, Zoran reached another career milestone as he recorded his 2,100th career point on his fifth assist and sixth point of the game.
