
Force Falls To Defending Champs At Home

CLEVELAND, OHIO. - The Cleveland Force played host to the defending Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) and Eastern Division foe Baltimore Blast and were defeated by the Blast by a final score of 10-7 at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University.
With the loss, the Force dropped its fourth straight game and fell to 3-5 overall and 0-3 versus MISL Eastern Division opponents. With the victory, Baltimore won its fifth straight game wining and improved to 7-3 overall and 2-2 versus MISL Eastern Division opponents.
The Blast opened the scoring (0-1) when David Bascome scored the restart goal off the pass from Danny Kelly at 4:30 of the first quarter. Baltimore added to its lead (0-2) when Denison Cabral scored an unassisted goal at 11:15.
The Blast kept up the scoring attack (0-3) when Tarik Walker found the back of the net off the pass from Kelly at 2:15 of the second quarter. Cleveland cut into the lead (1-3) when Ato Leone scored the goal off the pass from Adauto Neto at 2:31. The Force kept the scoring attack up (2-3) when Hector Marinaro found the back off the net on the penalty kick at 3:35. Baltimore snapped the Cleveland scoring streak (2-4) when Giuliano Celenza found the back of the net off the pass from Lee Tschantret at 3:47. The Force cut right back into the lead (3-4) when Adauto Neto scored the goal off the outlet pass from goalkeeper Otto Orf at 5:04. With the goal, Neto has now scored a goal in seven straight games. The Blast added to its lead (3-5) when Carlos "Chile" Farias scored the goal off the second assist of the game for Tschantret at 8:16. Baltimore found the back of the net (3-6) when Walker scored his second goal of the game on the power play off the third assist of the game for Kelly at 10:47. The Blast scored another goal (3-7) when P.J. Wakefield found the back of the net off the pass from Farias at 12:36. Cleveland cut into the lead (4-7) when Neto scored his second goal of the game off the assist from Lee Edgerton at 13:43. The Force kept up the scoring attack (5-7) when Neto recorded his first hat trick off the season on the goal off the cross from Nevio Pizzolitto at 14:46.
Baltimore opened the second half scoring (5-8) when Cabral scored the restart goal off the fourth assist of the game for Kelly at 2:43 of the third quarter. Cleveland cut into the lead (6-8) when Pizzolitto scored a power play goal as time expired in the third quarter off the second assist of the game for Edgerton.
The Blast opened the final quarter scoring (6-9) when Walker scored the power play goal off the pass from Cabral at 2:06. Baltimore sealed the gamer (6-10) when Blast goalkeeper Scott Hileman scored an unassisted goal against the Force Sixth Attacker at 13:21. Cleveland cut into the lead (7-10) when Edgerton scored an unassisted goal at 13:37.
