Flying Tigers Return Home for Weekend Series April 17-19

Lakeland, FL - The Lakeland Flying Tigers return to Joker Marchant Stadium for a weekend series against the Florida State League defending champion Daytona Cubs Friday, April 17 - Sunday, April 19.

The series kicks off on Friday with the first pitch scheduled for 7:00 pm. Gates to Joker Marchant Stadium will open at 6:00 pm. The first 500 paid fans will receive a Flying Tigers seat cushion sponsored by BD's Mongolian Grill. Kids eat free on all Friday home games as well. All kids 14 and under will receive a free hot dog, soda and bag of chips.

Game two of the series is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at 6:00 pm. Gates will open at 5:00 pm. The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display (weather permitting). The day begins with the Flying Tigers "Challenge to be Great" event from 3:30-5:00 pm. The event is free and open to all children with disabilities ages 5-18. The "Challenge to be Great" is a one-day clinic designed to allow children with disabilities the opportunity to participate in America's favorite past time - Baseball. The clinic will place an emphasis on the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching and teamwork. Flying Tigers players will be on hand to assist.

Sunday is Lance Family Fun Day. Game time is at 1:00 pm and gates will open at noon. All kids 14 and under will receive free admission to the game. Kids can also play catch on the field before the game and run the bases after the game (weather permitting). All fans will receive a voucher for a free sundae compliments of Dairy Queen. Tickets for the weekend series and all home games are available by calling the Tigers at (863) 686-8075. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5 and seniors 55 and over and children
