Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League announce their new team slogan. The theme of the upcoming season will be "Flying Into the Future".
After a very successful 03-04 season, the K-Wings organization wants to focus on the future, which includes building a strong team to compete for this year' s Colonial Cup. The K-Wings will be starting their "Flying Into the Future" marketing plan today, by unveiling a new fan friendly interactive website.
"With a good season last year, we can't rest on our laurels, we have to be hungrier than ever to be ahead of our competition and the best way to achieve that is to keep our organization "Flying into the Future," said K-Wings Vice President/General Manager Paul Pickard. "The slogan also indicates what we want to accomplish in our community; we will be flying around the community to continue to build on the buzz that has surrounded our team."
The K-Wings will start their 31st season of hockey on October 15th, when they travel to Fraser, Michigan to play in the inaugural game for the Motor City Mechanics. Kalamazoo will start the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, October 23rd, when they host the Port Huron Beacons.
