San Angelo Colts News Release
Edinburg, Texas---After a tough game two loss the Colts looked to rebound in game three of the series. It would be all Roadrunners though, as southpaw Ryan Falcon would shut down San Angelo again for the second time in his last three starts. The Colts did not hit, had the defense let them down, with three errors on the night and Logan Williamson, who was looking for his 50th career win, would have his worst outing of the year. San Angelo was shutout for only the second time this season by a score of 10-0.
Edinburg hit the Colts and Williamson quick, hard and often, beginning with two in the first on an RBI double by Osiel Flores that scored two, to take a 2-0 lead after one. The Roadrunners then scored five in the second, highlighted by a triple that drove in two by Antonio DeJesus, a sac fly by Robert Matlock and another RBI, on a single this time, by Osiel Flores, to put Edinburg up 7-0. The Roadrunners cruised from there, adding solo runs in the fourth, sixth and eighth behind Ryan Falcon (4-0, 0.55), who went the distance on a five-hit complete game shutout. Logan Williamson went six, allowing nine runs, on nine hits, walked two and struck out five. The five punch outs put him over 100 strikeouts on the season (105) and has the league strikeout lead with one game left in the regular season.
Game four the final game of the series and the regular season features Colts righty Alfredo Cabellero (0-2, 12.15) against fellow right-hander Jose Pablo Oyervidez (2-1, 3.49) for the Roadrunners. Sunday's contest is an early start with the first pitch at 6:05 p.m. Listen to all the action with the on 101.9 "The Fire".
