Flyers Recall Syvret

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have recalled D Danny Syvret from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, according to general manager Paul Holmgren. Syvret will wear #26 and will be available for tomorrow's 12:30 contest against the New York Rangers.

Syvret, 25 (6/13/85), has posted 10 goals and 30 assists for 40 points in 59 games for the Phantoms this season since being acquired in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks on November 21st. He signed as a free agent with Anaheim in the offseason and appeared in six games for the Ducks this year, recording a goal and an assist, and also had four assists in eight games for Anaheim's AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

Syvret appeared in 21 games for the Flyers last season, scoring two goals and adding two assists for four points. One of the goals came in the NHL Winter Classic against the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park, where Syvret posted his first NHL goal and the only one of the game for the Flyers. He also appeared in 15 games for the Phantoms last season, where he had five goals and eight assists.
