Florida Panthers Recall RW Bill Thomas from Rochester; Reassign RW Michal Repik

(Rochester, February 9)... Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled RW Bill Thomas from the Rochester Americans (AHL) and reassigned RW Michal Repik to Rochester.

Thomas, 27, has played in 13 games with Florida this season scoring two goals with three assists and four PIM. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 69 games with Phoenix (2005-08), Pittsburgh (2008-09) and Florida (2010-11) registering 25 points (13-12-25) and 16 PIM. He has played in 35 games with Rochester this season recording 24 points (5-19-24) and 10 PIM.

Repik, 22, has played in nine games with the Panthers this season recording one goal with one assist and four PIM. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 33 NHL contests, all with Florida (2008-2011), registering nine points (6-3-9) and 12 PIM. He has played in 44 games with Rochester this year recording 40 points (8-32-40) and 36 PIM.

Tonight, the Rochester Americans look to get back on the winning track as the Abbotsford Heat visit the Blue Cross Arena for a 7:05 p.m. showdown between two North Division rivals. The contest will be the final meeting between the two squads this season and can be heard live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK and FM 107.3, Rochester's Sports Talk.
