Florida Panthers Recall D Clay Wilson

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled D Clay Wilson from the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Wilson, 27, earns his second recall the Panthers this season. The Sturgeon Lake, MN native has appeared in two games for Florida this year, averaging 8:57 of ice time. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 18 games for Columbus (2007-08), Atlanta (2008-09) and Florida (2009-11), scoring one goal with two assists and four PIM.

Wilson has played in 62 games with Rochester this year, registering 44 points (10-34-44) and 24 PIM.

The Panthers (26-31-8) open a season-long seven-game home stand tonight when they host the Washington Capitals at 5 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Florida and on Sports Radio 560 WQAM.
