
Florida Panthers Announce 2012 Preseason Schedule

SUNRISE, FL -The Florida Panthers today announced their seven-game 2012 preseason schedule.
"We have put together a great preseason schedule that gives our fans numerous chances to see our team play and practice in South Florida, as well as an exhibition game on Florida's west coast," said Executive VP & General Manager Dale Tallon. "The schedule gives our coaching staff ample time to prepare our players for the start of the regular season and provides our club with the opportunity to play a game in the home of our American Hockey League affiliate."
Florida opens the preseason on Monday, Sept. 24 with a doubleheader against the Nashville Predators that will take place on the Lexus Rink at the BankAtlantic Center. The first game will be played at 2:30 p.m., followed by the second game at 7 p.m. Further information regarding the special events and promotions surrounding Hockey Day in South Florida will be announced at a later date.
Following the doubleheader, Florida will travel to Texas and play a game in San Antonio at the AT&T Center on Friday, Sept. 28 against the Dallas Stars. The following night (Sept. 29), Florida will travel to Dallas to take on the Stars at American Airlines Center.
The Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning will play a neutral site game at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m, followed by a game in Tampa Bay on Thursday, Oct. 4. Florida closes out the preseason with a home contest against their intrastate rivals on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
