Friday, January 30 @ Charlotte PRIDE 5 Checkers 4 (OT)
The Pride ended their four-game winless streak with an overtime victory at Cricket Arena. Trailing 3-2 entering the third period, the Pride would rally to take the lead. Eric Naud tied the game at 3 with a one-timer from the left-wing circle 11:53 into the final period. Just 2:17 later, Matt Reid ripped a slap shot past Scott Meyer on a power play to give Florence its first lead of the night. Late in the game, Charlotte got a power play, and pulled Meyer for an extra attacker. That move paid off, as Allan Egeland slipped a rebound shot past Matt Underhill with 11 seconds left to send the game to overtime. In the extra session, Kyle Kidney notched his second of the goal night with 27 seconds left to give the Pride the win.
Saturday, January 31 v. Greenville PRIDE 4 Grrrowl 2
Matt Reid broke a scoreless tie, ripping a shot from the point past goaltender Daniel Boisclair 15:02 into the first period. The Grrrowl tied the game with just 12 seconds remaining in the period on a Bryan LaChapelle tally. Florence scored twice in the middle period to take a two-goal lead, as Reid added his second of the night at the 7:15 mark, and Shaun Sutter tallied his 11th of the season 2:25 later. In the third, Greenville pulled within one on a Mike Henderson power-play goal at 9:40, but Wes Goldie sealed it for the Pride, scoring his 23rd of the season with 2:47 left.
