Dayton Bombers News Release
The Reading Royals used two first period power play goals to help build a lead they would never relinquish in an 8-1 victory over the Dayton Bombers in a Super Bowl Sunday ECHL matinee played at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon.
Judd Medak and Brad Church scored man-advantage goals 2:38 apart in the first period to give the Royals a 2-0 lead.
Scooter Smith, Lars Pettersen (2), Nick Lent, Peter Hay, and David Masse also tallied for Reading. Brian Ridolfi scored the lone Bombers' goal, his second of the season with assists from Alex Johnstone and Nate Kiser.
The Bombers' next game will be Wednesday at Cincinnati (7:30 p.m.). The Bombers' next home contest will be Friday, February 6 vs. Wheeling (7:00 p.m.). The Bombers will be having their second annual Mardi Gras Night event at that game.
