In one of their most convincing performances of the season, Reading destroyed Dayton, 8-1. It was their largest margin of victory of the year, as the Royals improved to 15-1-2 at home.
Highlighted by a season high four-goal second period, Reading (23-14-7) got three points from forward Judd Medak (1g, 2a) and defenseman Ian Turner (3a).
Forward Lars Pettersen tallied two goals for the home
team, which improved to 2-0 against the Bombers (16-26-3)
this season.
Royals' goaltender Cody Rudkowsky made 38 saves for his
16th win of the year, as Reading moved to 19-2-3 when
scoring first and 8-6-5 when out-shot by its opposition.
The Royals travel to Atlantic City next to play the
defending Kelly Cup Champions on Friday, February 6th and
Saturday, February 7th. Both games get underway at
7:00 pm. All the action can be heard live via the
