Week In Review - The Flint Generals continue to challenge for first place in the Central Division after posting a record of 2-2 last week. On Wednesday, the Generals defeated the Motor City Mechanics 5-1 at Perani Arena. Leo Thomas led the way with two goals. Marco Emond picked up the victory stopping 26 of 27 shots. Flint headed East for the Thanksgiving Weekend and started out with a 3-1 victory at Elmira on Friday night. Right wing Rob Valicevic figured in all scoring with two goals, including the game-winning goal and one assist. Mike Kinnie also scored for the Generals. Dan McIntyre picked up the victory in goal. Then it was on to Danbury, CT to complete the weekend. On Saturday, the Generals dropped a tough 2-1 decision against the Trashers. Mike Kinnie continued his great play with his 12th goal of the season, tops among all U.H.L. rookies. Goaltender Marco Emond backstopped another tremendous defensive effort turning aside 22 of 24 shots. On Sunday afternoon, the Generals suffered at 3-2 setback in Danbury. Andrei Lupandin (2) and Kris Waltze (4) scored for the Generals Thomas (3) and Rob Valicevic (8) scored for Generals.

Sherwood/UHL Player of the Week Nominee - Right Wing Bobby Reynolds is our nominee for the Sherwood UHL Player of the Week ending, November 28, 2004. In four games, Reynolds had one goal and five assists six points and was +4.

Southern Sports Supply/UHL Goaltender of the Week Nominee - Marco Emond is our nominee for the Southern Sports Supply/U.H.L. Goaltender of the Week ending November 28, 2004. Emond recorded the 5-1 victory over Motor City on November 24th stopping 26 of 27 shots. Emond suffered a 2-1 loss at Danbury on Saturday night but turned aside 22 of 24 shots.

Player of the Month Nominee - Right wing Rob Valicevic is our nominee for the U.H.L. Player of the Month for November. In 13 games, Valicevic recorded 8 goals, 10 assists for 18 points and was +14. Valicevic had 3 game-winning goals, 3 short-handed goals and 3 power play goals.

Goaltender of the Month Nominee - Dan McIntyre is our nominee for the U.H.L. Goaltender of the Month for November. In 9 games, McIntyre posted a record of 4-2-1 allowing only 8 goals on 185 shots for a .957 save percentage. McIntyre posted one shutout during the month.

Friday night is the first of six regular season meetings against the Ice hogs and the first of three at Perani Arena. Rockford has posted a record of 7-1-2 in their last ten games. Rockford is coached by Steve Martinson. He started his playing career with the IHL's Toledo Goaldiggers (1991) and ended his career with the San Diego Gulls (1996). He appeared in 579 pro games accumulating 2,771 PIMS. The leading scorers are J.F. Dufour (9g., 16a, 25 pts.), left wing J.C. Ruid (11g, 11a, 22 pts.) The penalty minutes leader is left wing Eric Labelle (119). Rockford hosts Fort Wayne on Wednesday night before heading to Flint. Rockford completes their weekend at Motor City on Saturday and at Quad City on Sunday.

The penalty minutes leader is winger Dave Stewart (79). The Mallards are at Kansas City on Friday and host Rockford on Sunday.

The Generals and the Komets tangle for the third of six regular season games and the second game at Fort Wayne. The season series is tied at 1-1. Flint shut out Fort Wayne 2-0 in Flint on November 10th. Leading scorers are center Colin Chaulk (10g, 17a, 27 pts.) left wing P.C. Drouin (6g, 16a, 22 pts.) and right wing Chris Grenville (11g, 10a 21 pts.) The Komets are 6-4-0 in their last 10 games. Fort Wayne is at Rockford on Wednesday night, at Motor City on Friday and at Muskegon on Saturday before the Sunday afternoon battle against the Generals. Legendary play-by-play broadcaster, Bob Chase is back for his 52nd consecutive season as the "Voice of the Komets."

Leading scorers: Bobby Reynolds, (6g, 19a, 25 pts.), Mike Kinnie (12g, 11a, 23 pts.) and Rob Valicevic (10g, 13a. 23, pts.) Penalty minutes leader is Kris Waltze (105). Kinnie continues to lead all U.H.L. rookies in points (23) goals (12), power play goals (6) and shooting percentage (12 goals/54 shots @ .222 percent). Reynolds leads the league in assists (19). Valicevic is tied for the league lead in short-handed goals (3), and is tied for second in game-winning goals (3). Marco Emond is tops among all U.H.L. goaltenders in goals against average (1.72) and save percentage (.937). Dan McIntyre is a very respectful 6th among all goaltenders in goals against average (.224) only percentage points behind 5 of his competitors.
