Port Huron's Beauregard and Danbury's Lavallee earn weekly honors

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Tuesday that Port Huron left winger David Beauregard has been named Sher-Wood Player of the Week and Danbury Trashers goaltender Guillaume Lavallee has been named Southern Sports Supply Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, November 28, 2004.

Beauregard completed the week with seven points (5g, 2a) and two power play goals helping to extend the Beacons home-game winning streak to four. He began the week tallying a power play goal against Muskegon, and on Friday, picked up two more goals (one power play) leading to a 6-4 victory over Adirondack. On Saturday, he scored two goals in a 6-2 decision over Motor City for a plus three on twenty shots for the week. The 28-year-old Alliston, Ontario native is currently first on the Beacons team with twenty-two points (15g, 7a).

Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week include: Adirondack center Sylvain Clovtier, Danbury forward Brad Wingfield, Elmira defenseman George Pujacs, Flint left wing Bobby Reynolds, Fort Wayne center Colin Chaulk, Kalamazoo defenseman Chad Allan, Kansas City left wing Mark Lee, Missouri defenseman Mat Snesrud, Motor City right wing Joe Burton, Muskegon right wing Robin Bouchard, Quad City center Jason Deskins, Richmond right wing Kyle Sheen, and Rockford right wing Jason Ralph.

Lavallee finished the week with a 2-0-0 record, 1.50 GAA, and a .956 save percentage. Helping the Eastern division leaders maintain their position, Trashers netminder recorded 66 saves with only three goals against for the weekend. In the first weekend face-off against Flint, Lavallee blocked 22 of 23 shots leading to a 2-1 victory. On Sunday, he stopped 34 of 36 as the Trashers notched their fifth straight win in a 3-2 decision over Flint.
