Outlaws go 3-1 at home

Forget about the struggles on the road (which continued on Sunday night in Missouri vs. the River Otters), the Kansas City Outlaws split their double header vs. Kalamazoo on Thanksgiving weekend to improve their home record at Kemper Arena to 3-1. How are the Outlaws doing overall? Well....... The Outlaws are 3-1 at home!!!!!!

TOYS FOR TOTS:

The Kansas City Outlaws are collecting Toys for Tots at Outlaws home games on Friday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 4 at 1 p.m.; Friday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, December 18 at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy with them to the games. The toys will be distributed to needy kids throughout the Kansas City area this holiday season.

CHANGE IN LINEUP:

- Outlaws have signed defenseman Nello Farrara (information attached with Bio and Roster).

- Outlaws have released goalie Tyson Gajda from his contract.

- Goalie Mike Buckley is activated beginning Wednesday and will be available to play Wednesday night at Kemper Arena vs. Muskegon

- The acquisition via trade from Elmira, defenseman Vaclav Zavoral, is available to play Wednesday night Muskegon.

- Defenseman Robert Machalek has been placed on the 14-day IR.

- Defenseman Ruslan Borysenko has been placed on the 10-day IR.

- Left winger Jason Ruff will miss Wednesday night's game and will be available to play on Friday night vs. Quad City.

‘O SAY CAN YOU SEE.........

The Kansas City Outlaws will host National Anthem Tryouts at the Food Court at Independence Center. The tryouts are open to the general public and are first come first serve on December 2 beginning at 5 p.m. Members of the organization will judge the hopefuls and select the best singers. The chosen vocalists will perform the National Anthem prior to various Outlaws home games from Friday, December 3 through Sunday, April 10.

OUTLAWS IN EDUCATION:

On Thursday, December 2nd at 7:00 pm, representatives from Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut will be on hand at the Outlaws practice facility (Ice Sports, 19900 Johnson Drive in Shawnee). They will be talking to young hockey players, dedicated students, and athletes of all sports about preparations for high school and college. Avon Old Farms is one of the country's top academic prep schools. Boys and parents who are interested in learning more about academic achievement, Avon Old Farms School, or preparing for higher education are invited to attend.

Kemper arena fact of the week:

Before the numerous family shows and concerts that invade Kemper Arena beginning in January, Kemper Arena and Hale Arena host all sporting events in the month of December. There are nine Outlaws games, three Comets games, three Knights home games (Knights play in Hale Arena), and the Men's Basketball of the University of Kansas plays the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on December 22.
