Charleston Lowgators News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (March 10) âThe Huntsville Flight beat the North Charleston Lowgators 86-72 on Monday night at the North Charleston Coliseum.
After a seesaw battle through three quarters, the Flight outscored the Lowgators 25-12 in the fourth period. North Charleston was 4 of 23 from the floor in the final quarter and shot 33% on the night. Meanwhile, Huntsville had 20 turnovers in the first half but only three after intermission.
Huntsville coach Ralph Lewis said, "This was a much needed win against a good team. In the first half, we turned the ball over way too much and didn't execute offensively. In the second half we made better decisions with the ball and we executed."
Jermaine Walker had 20 points to lead the charge for the Flight (20-25). A.J. Guyton chipped in with 19 and Ike Nwankwo grabbed 14 rebounds.
Corey Benjamin was in the starting lineup for the first time since returning from the Atlanta Hawks on February 17. He had a season-high 31 points. Sedric Webber added 18.
The Lowgators (23-22) will play at Fayetteville on Tuesday night. The Flight host the Patriots on Thursday.
