Utah Flash News Release
PROVO, Utah, Dec. 16, 2007 - All proceeds from single-game ticket sales for this Friday's NBA Development League game between the Utah Flash and the Bakersfield Jam, dubbed a "Night of Giving", will be donated to the Flash Family Foundation to assist in providing gifts, as well as food and daily essentials for 85 Utah County families.
Those ticket revenues will be added to donations of $15,000 by Professional Marketing International of Lehi and just over $10,000 from The Santa Cause. PMI executives matched a $7,500 gift by PMI employees, while the Santa Cause secured donations through private giving and a celebrity auction and raffle.
Tipoff for Friday's game is set for 7 p.m. at the McKay Events Center in Orem. Flash single game tickets are available at all Utah County Bajio Mexican Grill locations, where fans can buy a ticket and get one free, as well as all Smithstix locations, Smithstix.com and the McKay Events Center box office.
"With the assistance of PMI and The Santa Cause, it has been so exciting to watch the reach of the Flash Family Foundation grow by at least 25 Utah County families this year," Flash owner Brandt Andersen said. "And who knows, with the generosity of Flash fans filling the McKay Events Center on Friday night, we could even go a step further."
The Flash Family Foundation, the brainchild of Andersen and his wife Katie, works with Utah County school systems to help identify children and families in need. Teamed with The Santa Cause and PMI, the Flash Family Foundation purchases and delivers gifts, essential daily living items and food for up to four months for 85 Utah County families this Christmas season.
PMI is a Flash Founding Sponsor and the winner of the 2008 Flash Family Foundation Service Award, which goes to the Utah County business that, though its day-to-day actions, makes Utah County a better place to live. PMI Coaching provides individuals and many businesses with the experience and tools needed for success. PMI has worked with over 70,000 businesses.
