Peoria Rivermen News Release
It's a bird... it's a plane... no, it's "Superhero Night" with the Peoria Rivermen!
This Friday (Feb. 28), the Rivermen will welcome Flash, Batman, Robin, Spiderman and Captain America to Carver Arena for a 7:15 p.m. puck drop against Louisiana. Throughout the evening, fans will have the opportunity to meet each superhero as well as receive free pictures and autographs on the concourse.
In addition, adults and kids alike are invited to dress up as any character and participate in our superhero costume contest. A group of finalists will be selected to come onto the ice during the second intermission, where one lucky fan will win the grand prize for best costume.
"We couldn't be more happy to add these superheroes to our stellar promotional lineup," Rivermen co-owner Bart Rogers said. "It's all part of our continued effort to grow the entertainment value and provide central Illinois with a great hockey experience that gives the most bang for its buck. Plus, I'm excited to see what other superheroes you fans bring into the building that night!"
For tickets or more information, please visit the Rivermen office located next to the box office inside the Peoria Civic Center, or call 676-1040.
