Coastal Federal Field is due for some shakin', as the Braves hottest pitching prospect will land in Myrtle Beach for the upcoming season. Jose Capellan will be joining the Pelicans as an opening pitcher and promises to help make the 2004 season an exciting one. Capellan caught the eye of Braves coaches this spring, when he consistently threw in the 100+ mpg range. "He's got a chance to be one of the class pitchers in baseball," Bobby Cox said of Capellan, who posted an 8.10 ERA and allowed opponents to hit .362 against him in 10 innings this spring.

· MEET THE PLAYERS – come meet your Pelicans team and enjoy an autograph session at Liberty Steakhouse, Broadway at the Beach. Slated from 6:30 – 8:30 PM on Monday, April 5th, This annual event is sure to be a winner! There is no charge for admission and will feature happy hour pricing and a raffle for cool Pelican gear.

· COASTAL CLASH II – keep the excitement rolling with a road trip! Join Pelican faithful as they travel by bus to catch the team play the Charleston River Dogs in an exhibition game. · OPENING NIGHT – The Pelicans will take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks in the season opener on Thursday, April 8th at 7:05 pm. All fans will receive a 2004 magnet schedule courtesy of Golf Dimensions and can enjoy Budweiser/Mix 97.7 "Thirsty Thursday". WPDE will be broadcasting live from 5 pm, so get your tickets today!

· MATCHBOX TOW TRUCK GIVEAWAY – Friday, April 9th, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Matchbox tow truck from Quality Towing. One lucky contestant can also participate in the Nationwide Insurance/Fowler Motors "Pitch N Win" contest.

· FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA – Saturday, April 10th will host the first in a series of fireworks shows hosted by Grand Strand Nissan/The Sun News.

· HAPPY EASTER FROM THE PELICANS! Join the team in celebrating Easter on Sunday, April 11th with "Easter in Mayberry, featuring the Mayberry Sheriff" courtesy of The Sound 107.1. A fun day for families, the game will also feature Locals Nights by Easy 105.9/94.5 and Carvels Ice Cream "Surprise Sundae Autograph Helmet" Night
