Flames Recall Brian McGrattan, Reassign Akim Aliu

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled right winger Brian McGrattan from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League and reassigned Akim Aliu.

Flames acquired McGrattan on February 28th from the Nashville Predators in exchange for Joe Piskula. McGrattan has played two games with the Nashville Predators and six games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) this season. This will be McGrattan's second time suiting up for the Flames after playing for Calgary during the 2009-10 season where he had one goal and three assists along with 86 penalty minutes in 34 games and was a +3.

Aliu played two games for the Flames on his call-up and registered 10 penalty minutes.
