Rockford and Peoria Meet Tonight at the BMO

Rockford, Ill.-After a four-day layoff, the Rockford IceHogs return to action tonight in an Illinois Lottery Cup contest with the Peoria Rivermen at 7:05 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

The first 1,500 fans to the game will pick up a "Hog Nation" glow in the dark T-shirt courtesy of Toyota. For tickets, call (815) 968-5222, online through IceHogs.com or in person at either the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.

Also tonight, the first 100 fans to the game will get a Rick's Pick guitar pick in honor of Rick Nielsen of the band Cheap Trick. Plus all fans in attendance can receive a coupon to visit the Rick's Picks exhibit by stopping at the Rick's Picks table on the main concourse at the game. The exhibit showcases Neilsen's journey and thousands of rock memorabilia and is open through April 2013. Nielsen will drop the ceremonial first puck.

In need of a hot streak to get back into the Western Conference playoff picture, Rockford has won five-straight games and is now three points out of the final playoff spot. Although light, the Week 20 schedule features two crucial games against Midwest Division opponents starting tonight.

Rockford holds a three-point edge on Peoria heading into tonight's contest and have won seven of nine dating back to Feb. 5. The goalie combination of Carter Hutton and Henrik Karlsson have a combined goals against average of 2.18 and a save percentage of .930 during the past nine games.

Jeremy Morin has been streaking for Rockford lately with points in six straight tilts (1g-6a-7pts), eight of nine (3g-10a-13pts) and has totaled 7g-11a-18pts over his last 19 outings.

Tonight is the fourth meeting with Peoria in Rockford's last nine games and the IceHogs have taken two of the last three. Overall against Peoria this season, the IceHogs are 4-3-0-0, including 2-1-0-0 at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

Next Home Game: Saturday, March 2 vs. Milwaukee Admirals. The puck hits the BMO"ˆHarris Bank Center ice at 7:05 p.m. as the IceHogs host the Milwaukee Admirals for a Midwest Division contest. The first 1,500 fans through the turnstiles will get an IceHogs Sock Monkey thanks to BMO"ˆHarris Bank. BMO Harris Bank is also hosting a sock drive benefiting Project Undershare.
