Flache reassigned to Gladiators

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that defenseman Paul Flache has been reassigned to the Gladiators from the Chicago Wolves and defenseman Chris Smith has been waived.

Flache was recalled to Chicago on Wednesday and helped the Wolves to a 2-2 against the Houston Aeroes in his first appearance in the AHL.

Under contract to the Atlanta Thrashers, Flache has tallied six points in his last seven games with the Gladiators.

Smith split time at the beginning of the season with the Wheeling Nailers and the Greenville Grrrowl where he tallied one assists in ten games. Smith was a -4 in 14 games with Gwinnett after being traded from Greenville.

Flache should be available for the Gladiators 7:35 p.m. start tonight against the Roanoke Express.
