
Five Wildcats Compete For Scholastic Award

Moncton, NB- Five members of the Moncton Wildcats are in the running for the Don Matheson Award at the team's 14th annual Award Night and Pep Rally on Thursday, March 18th at the Wesleyan Celebration Centre at 7pm.
Named in honor of the former Director of Recruiting for the Wildcats, Donny Matheson, an educator and outstanding judge of young hockey talent, who passed away suddenly in December of 2008. The award goes to the player judged as showing excellence in education and hockey.
The nominees, all winners of the Scholastic Player of the Month are Daniel Pettersson (October), Olivier D'Aoust (November), Brandon Gormley (December), Kelsey Tessier (January)and Alex Wall (February).
"All the nominees have shown exceptional academic ability, combined with their hockey skills," said Lise Doucet, the Wildcats Academic Consultant.

Season ticket holders can purchase loyalty priced tickets for the Awards Night which are available at the Wildcats office "only".
