YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Madison Capitols powered through a matchup against the Youngstown Phantoms, securing a commanding 7-4 victory on the road. Despite trailing 2-1 early in the second period, the Caps unleashed an offensive barrage, netting an impressive five goals to surge ahead 6-3 by intermission. An empty-netter from Max Nagel sealed the deal, capping off a stellar performance.
Rainers Rullers ignited the scoring for the Capitols in the first period, setting the tone for the night. Aiden Long showcased his offensive prowess with a pair of goals in the second period, joined by Austin Burnevik and Brendan Lamb, who each found the back of the net to extend the lead.
Max Nagel continued his offensive contributions, notching a goal in the second period before sealing the victory with the empty-netter in the third.
