
Five-Run Inning Leads Revolution to 7-1 Win over Patriots

Bridgewater, New Jersey - The York Revolution (13-5, 47-40) defeated the Somerset Patriots (6-12, 48-40) 7-1 in the early game of Wednesday's day-night doubleheader at TD Bank Ballpark.
The Revolution took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning on a solo home run by Ryan Dent (5).
Somerset answered to knot up the game on an RBI fielder's choice by Gabriel Bracamonte in the bottom of the frame.
York broke the game open with a five-run fifth inning. The scoring started with a two-run single by Justin Trapp followed by an RBI base hit by Melky Mesa. Carlos Franco then plated a run on an RBI groundout and Wellington Dotel singled home another for a 6-1 advantage.
Isaias Tejeda's sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning provided the 7-1 final.
Duke von Schamann (6-3) picked up the complete game win, allowing a run on three hits and seven strikeouts in his seven innings of work. Vince Molesky (3-2) suffered the loss, allowing six earned runs on eight hits in four innings pitched.
The 2019 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue at home on Thursday, August 1st with a 7:05 pm game against the York Revolution at TD Bank Ballpark.
