Calgary Vipers News Release
Scoring five runs in the top of the first inning was all the Calgary Vipers (31-21) needed as they defeated the Edmonton Capitals (28-22) 9-4 before 2299 fans at Telus Field in Edmonton, Alberta. Up 5-0 Calgary gave up two runs in the bottom of the first and third innings before once again pulling away with two tallies in each of the fourth and fifth frames. Overall Calgary collected ten hits to go along with 11 free passes patiently earned at the plate. At the plate Chad Ehrnsberger led the way with three hits including two doubles for four runs batted in. With the win the Vipers sweep the three-game series and increase their first place lead in the North Division to two games.
