
Five Players Invited To Bulldogs Training Camp

HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today that the team has invited five players to training camp on a tryout basis. The 'Dogs will be leaving for Edinburgh, Scotland today where they will hold training camp until September 28th.
The five players invited to training camp are forwards Sam Bloom (McGill University - CIS), Kenton Dulle (Kamloops Blazers - WHL), Felix Petit (Baie-Comeau Drakkar - QMJHL / Cincinnati Cyclones - ECHL), and Brett Robinson (Mercyhurst College - NCAA) and defenceman Brian O'Hanley (Fresno Falcons - ECHL / Cincinnati Cyclones - ECHL). Bloom, Dulle and Robinson have yet to play a professional game while Petit joined the Cincinnati Cyclones at the end of last season and O'Hanley played with the Fresno Falcons and the Cyclones in 2008-2009. All five players are under contract to Cincinnati for the upcoming season.
The Bulldogs will travel to Edinburgh, Scotland today to begin training camp. The 'Dogs will compete for the Gardiner Cup against the AHL's Toronto Marlies and the UK Elite League's Edinburgh Capitals and Belfast Giants. The Bulldogs will meet their archrival, the Marlies, in an exhibition contest at 2:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, September 24th. Hamilton will begin the four-team tournament with a semi-final game against the Belfast Giants at 12:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, September 26th. The two winning teams from Saturday's semi-final games will play for the Gardiner Cup in the Championship game at 12:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, September 27th while the two losing teams will face-off in the consolation final on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. EST.

Fans can listen to every 'Dogs pre-season, regular season and post-season game in 2009-2010 on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, Talk 820. Fans can also listen to or watch every game online on www.hamiltonbulldogs.com. All regular season radio and online broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the game's scheduled start time. Ellery Award-winning broadcaster Derek Wills will call the play-by-play of all 80 regular season games, while Al Craig will provide the colour commentary for all home games and select road games.
